Kym Myck is a multi-modal visual artist with a background in traditional and digital visual art, photography, film, graphic & web design, and multimedia production. In addition, she has a background as a Production Coordinator doing product placement for several television shows, feature films, and music videos in Burbank, CA. She has also worked as a Freelance Production Assistant on various commercial projects in Los Angeles. Kym also studied film as an undergraduate at San Bernardino Valley College.
Kym holds a Master of Fine Art in Interdisciplinary Art (MFAIA) from Goddard College and a Bachelor in Visual Arts (BA) from Thomas Edison State University. She also hold two Associate of Arts (AA) degrees from Chaffey College and San Bernardino Valley College. Kym has professional certifications in both Computer Graphic Design and Web & Multi-Media Design. She is a permanent member of the Alpha Gama Sigma Honors Society. She has also completed coursework at Cal State SB, Prescott College, and UC Berkeley and is actively pursuing professional certification with the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association as a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant/Educator. Kym is also the founder and Executive Director of ARTNIK, a community arts collaborative project that brings access to the arts via an online learning environment, live classes and workshops, and community arts project fundraising.
Kym is currently incorporating Reiki, Aromatherapy, and Herbology into her body of work to engage the mind, body, spirit connection as a daily practice. She received her First Degree and Second Degree certifications in Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho from Karen Roth, Reiki Master Teacher of Mountain Star Center and her Usui Ryoho Reiki Levels I, II, & III Shinpiden Master/Teacher certifications from Lisa Powers, Reiki Master/Teacher. She is currently pursuing her professional certification as a Clinical Herbologist from the Herbal Academy of New England and professional certification in Level I and Level II Aromatherapy from the Reiki Center of Venice and board certification from the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC).
